The FoodTalk Awards are back – so, what are you waiting for?
In case you missed it, earlier this year we launched probably the hottest foodie awards in the UK. Scratch that – in the world!
Lots of food awards focus on nothing more than great taste. Which is fine – we love a delicious cheese or chutney as much as the next person – but what about innovation? What about those brilliant people who are pushing boundaries, trying out new ideas and doing the seemingly impossible in the name of culinary adventure?
From unusual ingredients, inspired flavour combinations and magical free-from products, to the packaging and tech that’s shaping the kitchens of tomorrow, food tech innovation is changing the way we eat, cook and live forever.
We decided it was time those brilliant people – many of whom we’d been meeting on The FoodTalk Show – received some shiny trophies in recognition of their game-changing work.
The result was the FoodTalk Awards 2017 and boy, was it a success. We handed out the gongs at a fantastic ceremony on the South Bank, as part of London Tech Week in June and we haven’t stopped talking about it since. If you didn’t make it on the big night, check out London Tech Week’s video here
