2020 kicked off with two people at the start of exciting stages in their careers. MasterChef finalist Marianne Lumb talked about her next gastronomic adventure, while Oliver Familoe of Oli’s Nectarous – winner of the Young Producer category at the 2019 Future Food Awards – told us about his amazing vegan-friendly desserts.

If you’ve ever wondered about the truth behind cannabidiol, or CBD, don’t miss our 9 January episode. Three CBD experts joined us in the studio to bust some myths and preconceptions about this controversial topic, so listen again if you’d like hear the answers to some pressing questions.

Sue, Ollie and Holly were looking to the future in the 16 January show, specifically how artificial intelligence (AI) is continuing to impact the way we shop and eat. Markus Stripf from Spoon Guru and Nick Popovici of Vita Mojo shed some light, while Helena Rogers from Troo gave us the lowdown on gut health and her high-fibre products that contain no potential gut irritants.

On the 23 January show, Calum Haggerty from Coco Chocolatier explained how the company works with producers and artists to create a truly exceptional treat. Then we moved onto the meaty subject of charcuterie, with Thomas Whitaker from Tempus Foods.

We rounded off the month with a lively discussion about food programming, with BAFTA award-winning producer Antonia Lloyd, BBC Radio 2’s resident GP Dr Sarah Jarvis MBE and Sally Bee, ITV’s healthy cook and a true survivor.
