The people behind the Great Taste Awards and the World Cheese Awards
The Guild of Fine Food started in 1995 and still has a mission to support, celebrate, and encourage independent food and drink retailers and the producers that supply them. With over 1,300 members across the UK, the Guild organises and implements a network of activities designed to promote excellence in all sectors of the trade and build closer links between producers and retailers. They provide a voice for independent food retailers and producers: lobbying the government through a variety of influential organisations and providing access to expert industry advice and updates through their relationships with partner organisations.
The Guild published the Fine Food Digest, run The Great Taste Awards and The World Cheese Awards and the Fine Food Show North exhibition, as well as a number of Great Taste markets. Listen to Christabel Cairns of the Guild of Fine Food talk about Try January.
