Square Root Soda

Getting the chemistry right to produce the perfect sodas

In 2011 Robyn and Ed met while being scientists at University College London and when they graduated they began to experiment with making ginger beer at home. They bought a vintage tricycle, Elise, and started pedalling about the markets of London. In 2014, after experimenting with different flavours, they built The Square Root Soda Works in a railway arch in Hackney, London. This is where every bottle of Square Root is made from fruit to bottle. Square Root is soda made with ingredients you’d find in your kitchen, not ingredients you can’t even pronounce. It is made seasonally to keep the fruit the freshest and the taste the tastiest. Listen to Robyn again or visit the Square Root Soda website here
