There’s a lot of competition in the chutneys and preserves market, but this Macclesfield-based company is really giving its products a heritage twist. When a group of young men noticed the bounty of unpicked wild fruits in a hedge one summer’s day, the seed of an idea was planted. Now, Fruits of the Forage produces incredible and unusual flavours of chutney, wine, beer and cordials, using wild ingredients in both modern and ancient recipes.
