Fact of the day: Mead is the world’s oldest alcoholic drink - you’re looking back at around 7,000 BC for the earliest traces. That’s old.
They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but ‘they’ are wrong according to Kate Dempsey, who has founded Kinsale Mead. They have bought the honey-based tipple back to Cork, Ireland for the first time in a few centuries.
